유치원 프로젝트의 설계에서 공간을 설계할 때 레지오 에밀리아 접근법의 교육 철학을 기반으로 프로젝트를 시작했다. 이 접근법의 중점인 ’관계에 기초한 교육‘, ’의사소통‘, ’상호작용‘ 세 가지 요소를 적용하고자 하였다. 사회적으로 상호작용을 하는 데 있어 방해물이 될 수 있는 제한적인 공간을 배제하는 것을 가장 큰 목표로 하여 프로젝트를 진행하였다.
아이들이 자연과 소통하며 익숙해질 수 있도록 사이트의 특성을 활용할 수 있는 건축 요소를 삽입하고자 했다. 사이트에 인접한 저수지와의 소통에 창문과 테라스를 활용하였고, 천장 층고의 높이가 예측불가능하고 다변적일수록 창의력이 높아진다는 연구결과를 적용하면서 저수지의 형상을 그대로 유치원에 옮겨 담고자 ‘물결’을 컨셉으로 프로젝트를 진행하였다.
When designing spaces in kindergarten project, the project was started based on the Regio Emilia approach. Tried to apply three elements of this approach: ‘Education based on relationship’, ‘Communication’, and ‘Interaction’. The project was carried out with main goal; there should be no spatial restrictions that could be an obstacle to social communication.
In order for children to communicate and get used to nature, tried to insert architectural elements that can take advantage of the site’s characteristics. Using windows and terrace for communication to reservoir and with study about making many unpredictable and different height of floor can increase childrens’ creativity, set concept as ‘Wave’ to bring the shape of the reservoir in Silhouette.
